“Our goal as a company is to make life easier for busy parents,” said Katie Rice, CEO and co-founder of BabyPage. “We listened to our current users and added features they asked for, enhancing the entire BabyPage experience.”
Along with the launch of the new platform, BabyPage has brought on Kara Forney as an advisor to accelerate the growth of the company. Forney founded The Bump Media, Inc. and TheBump.com in 2004, and led the growth of the expectant and new mom life-stage publishing and media company from one local city guide in Phoenix, Arizona to over 12 guides in top-tier media markets while growing TheBump.com to be a leading online destination for the new mom audience. Forney successfully managed her company’s acquisition by XO Group (formerly The Knot, Inc.), one of the world’s leading lifestyle media companies.
Forney works closely with the BabyPage management team on developing company strategy, including implementing partnerships, developing sales channels, and advises on both product development and marketing. “I’m thrilled to join the BabyPage family. The company was founded by two busy moms with impressive professional backgrounds who understand how hard it can be to keep track of your children’s milestones. BabyPage solves that problem in an elegant way,” said Forney. “They’ve built a stellar team and a really fun product, and I’m excited to help them move the company forward.”
About BabyPage
BabyPage is an online and mobile platform that makes the lives of busy parents easier by giving them a fun and engaging way to capture and track their children’s milestones and build beautiful books along the way. BabyPage prompts parents with fun and easy questions related to their child’s age and the time of year, and BabyPage transforms the responses into the content for each BabyPage. The parent pulls in a photo, customizes the look and feel of each BabyPage, and edits the text if they’d like. Once enough BabyPages are saved, the parent can purchase a printed book and other printed products. Parents also have access to features such as growth charts and customization options including a photo collage feature and an extensive library of design choices.
